Lucky Stiff
Lucky Stiff is a madcap, hilarious romp of a musical that follows Harry Witherspoon’s journey from England to Monte Carlo … with a rather unusual traveling companion. Based on Michael Butterworth’s novel, The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo, Harry receives the unexpected news that he has inherited a fortune from his late Uncle Anthony, on the condition that he takes Anthony’s dead body on a special trip to Monte Carlo. If Harry fails, the money will go to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn. However, also hot on the tail of Uncle Anthony’s money is Rita, Anthony’s lover with whom he embezzled $6 million behind her husband’s back. And hot on Rita’s trail is her brother Vinnie, who has been blamed for the crime! With mistaken identities, love interests, disguises, farcical chases, and an omnipresent corpse, Lucky Stiff is an offbeat murder mystery with a difference.
Just in time for celebrating your Valentine, Carnegie Hall headliner Anthony Nunziata has rescheduled his fundraising show (cancelled due to snow) originally planned for the holiday season and benefitting three local arts organizations, including ATI!
Three organizations will benefit from this gracious and beautiful night of romantic classics –Actors Theatre of Indiana, Kids Dance Outreach, and Indianapolis Men’s Chorus.
Members from all three groups will participate in the performance. Come out to enjoy two of your favorite ATI performers sharing their beloved classics with Nunziata, “America’s new romantic singing sensation!”
Classical-crossover tenor Anthony Nunziata is the Brooklyn-born, Nashville-based singer, songwriter, actor, and entertainer who brings his soulful voice to classic jazz, pop standards, Italian arias, and his timeless original music.
He has a deep passion for The Great American Songbook, Italian arias, and sharing his genre-bending original songs through his recordings and live concert appearances.
The way Nunziata feels, “I’m in the business of making people feel good, making people happy, moving people in some way. We all are on this life’s journey in search of that feeling of being moved, to feel alive. If I can have a small part in moving you in some way during my live concerts or through my music, this is the greatest gift I can give.”
Nunziata is giving the gift of utilizing his amazing voice to benefit three outstanding performance art groups in Central Indiana – including ATI!
